Products

Flotation Reagents
Collectors

Surface active reagents, called collectors, are used to increase the hydrophobicity of sulphide minerals and promote higher recoveries in the rougher and scavenger stages. The main products are xanthates, Di-thiophosphates and thiocarbamates.

Flotation Reagents
Frothers

Frothers are used to reduce bubble size and increase the kinetics of the flotation process. The main products used in the industry include alcohol-based products and glycol-ethers.

Leaching Reagents

The separation process of gold minerals generally involves the use of cyanide where the gold is adsorbed by activated carbon (mining grade) as well as other products such as SMBS (sodium metabisulphite for example).

On-stream Analyzers

Particle size monitoring is crucial for the maximum efficiency of the metallurgical process which involves liberation of particles to be separated. During flotation, bubble size plays an important role in the recovery of valuable minerals into the froth phase. AMS uses microscope technology to analyze particle size (1-1000 microns) on-stream, without the need for sampling or major changes into the pipeline. AMS can also be used to measures bubble size in real time giving the ability to control reagent consumption as well as throughput and recovery instantly.
